Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival, Toronto, Canada 2014
Wild Boar is a poetic and strongly stylized tale about the ambivalent relationship between humans and wild boars. In nature only one rule counts; eat or be eaten. The film an exploration of a society conflicted with nature and a reflection of the curiosity of human nature itself. Will we eat them or will they eventually devour us?
Wild Boar had its international premières in competition respectively at the renowned festivals Visions du Réel (Nyon, Switerland), AFI Docs (Silver Spring, USA) and Hot Docs Docs International Documentary Film Festival in Toronto.
Director Willem Baptist will join us at Pelicam this year for a Q&A after the screening on Saturday.
