Pelicam Film Festival organizes a filmmaking workshop “My First Documentary Movie – practical workshop for high school students” dedicated to Tulcea’s high-school students developed and kept by Asociația Vira (Vira Association).
“My first documentary movie – practical workshop for high school students” is the continuation and the development of “Rulment – atelier de educație alternativă” (Rulment – Workshop for Alternative Education), held by Vira in the municipal city of Bârlad in 2012 and 2013. The participants of the two editions obtained highly praised achievements such as a selection in the Short Film Corner section at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2013, an official selection and an award in the Astra Documentary Film Festival in Sibiu, Romania, October 2013.
The workshop consists of teaching the research methods for social documentation and investigation together with the technical skills for documentary film-making. The workshop will put into practice research and filming sessions with students and the making of short documentary movies worked by students’ teams.
The Workshop will be run between 9th and 14th of June in Tulcea.
High school students in the 9th, 10th and 11th year grade can attend the workshop.
