SATURDAY, 18 June, 14.00 // Art Cafe Casa Avramide
The projects has its origins in the discovery that soundscape (a term used for the first time in 1973 by Murray Schaffer in the book The Tunning of the World) can be used to define, sometimes more elaborate than image, the richness of human communities, urban or rural, and became an important reference object for archiving and reflection projects run by artists, historians, anthropologists, sociologists and architects.
SÂMBĂTA SONORĂ has made numerous references in its cultural interventions to this object of study and contemplation, which remains so far unused by other cultural projects in Romania. Wishing to draw attention, for some time now, on this approach, we intend to focus on the ability of soundscape to ‘play’ issues related to cultural heritage, nature, society and creation.
Listening session in partnership with Sâmbăta Sonoră.
