Director Story
Benoît Bringer is a French award-wining investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker. He is part of the ICIJ’s Panama Papers-team which won the Pulitzer Prize 2017. He has been shortlisted as International Journalist of the year 2017 by One World Media. He is the director of Panama Papers : The hold-up of the century, special mention at Terra Di Tutti Film Festival in Italy, a two-hour documentary. His documentary The carnivore’s Dilemma won the Environmental Prize at the Festival International Nature Namur and the Food and Natural Resources Prize at the Life and Science Film Festival in Prague.
Bringer graduated from École Supérieure de journalisme de Lille and started his career as a reporter for the France 2 channel. After covering Pakistan and Afghanistan for a few years, he returned to France and became an independent filmmaker, directing documentaries on assignment for various French channels: Canal+, France Télévisions and M6.
